Friday, er, Saturday I Don't Feel Like Dancin'

My lovelies, this has been a week! This post was supposed to go up Friday, but Blogger was not cooperating. I couldn't comment on my favorite blogs. I couldn't write any posts for next week. I couldn't do anything but tweet in frustration. And then I realized, it wasn't that big of a deal. Funny how that happens, huh? So, I took yesterday off of blogging for personal reasons, and decided to post the dance today. Here we go!

This week's wedding is in honor of my month long photo project, Stripes Every Day for the Month of May (which I'm hoping to have completely updated by the end of the weekend). That's right, party people, it's a striped wedding! So awesome, right? I'm loving this bride and groom's bold style, which is beautifully shot by Erin & Courtney De Jauregui. I am also digging the mismatched, but super stylish bridesmaids' dresses and shoes. This wedding actually took place on Halloween, hence all the pumpkins. Still, you gotta love those stripes!! In fact, I would love these same stripes and bright florals with lemons and limes for a summer wedding. Somebody please do that and send me the pictures. I'm already married and can't have another wedding. Le sigh...

See you on Monday with a great, new topic for Marriage Mondays! I hope you're somewhere warm. Chicago went from 80 degree weather to 50 degree weather. It sucks. And it's windy as all get out! We are bundled up inside the house, and I'm thinking most of the weekend will be like that. Here are your dance moves for the rest of the weekend!

One of my favorite children's book is Where the Wild Things Are, which means I completely melted when I found this birthday party. Genius!

Essential Honeymoon Gear! I am not even going on my honeymoon (been there, did that) and I am still going to buy that Grid-It Organizer!

We should all live in such a bright, sunny home!

As Liz Lemon would say, "I want to go to there."

Love these well written portraits!

On the Cusp on a New Decade

Soon, my pets, soon, I will be 30. It's not for a few more months, but it's coming, so I'm thinking about it. I don't actually care that I'm turning 30. My one goal, the only one that really matters to me, is that my credit card is paid off. It will be. It almost already is. So, other than that, my only goal is to have an awesome birthday. Because the last four birthdays have been terrible. One year, my water got turned off, and nobody called me. So basically, I spent the day unloved and dirty. Kickass.

I feel bad, though, because I'm thinking about having a party, and last year, I super big time let A.P. down on his 30th. It was right at the height of wedding planning and stress, and I just couldn't plan a big to do for his birthday, too. So we went out to dinner, and I bought him a really expensive gift to make up for my ineptitude at multi-tasking.

Anyway, the party I'm thinking about having would feature all the music I listened to and loved in my 20s. How awesome would that be? Throw in these record platters, and you've got yourself a kickass party!

Up Inspired Party

Screw the kids...I want an Up-inspired birthday party!! Check out this awesome Up-themed 7th birthday party (btw, since when do kids have such fancy parties??? I was lucky if I got to have a few friends over for cake or a sleepover!). And of course the photos are amazing since the mother is a photographer. So jealous!

And of course you know I loved the favors the kids got (though I think A.P. pulls it off better than a 7 year old!)
