It became clear early on that her wedding planning blog was more of a thing she did sporadically than a thing she did as a real hobby. So, it (luckily) didn't turn into a thing we competed over.Marty J. It feels weird when people rip me off. It's one thing to take an idea here or there and be like, "I love that! I'm using that!" But it's another thing when it's every, little thing. Oh well. I'm working on trying to figure out how this relationship will end, but I do think it might be time to end it. It's really, really heartbreaking.Marty J. When I ...I am actually dealing with this right now. When I started my wedding blog, some of my ideas got ripped off by people close to me. Then, when I discussed ideas with others who were planning weddings, I would find out weeks later that they were doing the same thing. What makes me really upset is the fact that their wedding will be before ours, so it will essentially look like I have copied them. (sigh) I have also dealt with relationships just like the one you described with your friend. It was painful, but I decided I had to end the friendship because it was having too much of a negative impact on my life. Sorry you have to deal with this! :(Christihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14879034465079025635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8902153394142261211.post-6010795323340003752011-04-25T18:01:59.427-05:002011-04-25T18:01:59.427-05:00It sounds like this is a negative relationship in ...It sounds like this is a negative relationship in your life. I know that none of us really know the entire story of your past with this person, but if she is so endlessly frustrating and hurtful to you, why continue the relationship at all? Bravo on making a strong decision about the events surrounding her wedding.Helenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10121429564505659418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8902153394142261211.post-67032566340935416472011-04-25T15:46:31.398-05:002011-04-25T15:46:31.398-05:00I stopped fighting a long time ago, but even then,...I stopped fighting a long time ago, but even then, it felt like I was the only one fighting. I just RSVP'd no to her shower. Now I have to send a gift. Fun. But also a big, huge bummer.Marty J. Maybe on a not conscious level, she's jealous or envious of what you have, or feels inferior if she doesn't get what you have. I believe AP is right in saying she doesn't even know she does that.<br />But I do understand that it hurts you. Friendship, like all relationships, requires a lot of work from both parties, and it looks like you're the only one fighting for it to work. So I guess it's a matter of making the choice that will hurt you the less on the long term.Musing on Beautyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07594192030035675016noreply@blogger.com
