I think you should just go with you met in class and it was love at first sight! Sounds that way to me. :)Marty J. Then again, I love any excuse for cake...

July 4 marked the 5-year anniversary of when I met my husband... I don't think he pays attention to it, and I don't really celebrate it, but I always think about it. It's the day before my birthday and a pretty easy date to remember. I can't believe it's been 5 years since we met and started grad school!

Since we were classmates it's hard to pin down our first date. There was a dinner early on that I don't think either of us was sure what it was (there were clearly inklings), but then it was about a month and a half until Jon confessed his feelings. We always marked our dating anniversary as the first time we did something date-like after that conversation, when we agreed that dating might be a good thing to try. We went to an opera then a classmate's halloween party. It doesn't make for a super exciting story. ;)Kathleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06807134720412633759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8902153394142261211.post-82610121039992982852011-07-21T14:25:57.379-05:002011-07-21T14:25:57.379-05:00@Musing: Yup. We're really lazy about a lot of things because we work, work, work, and, well, it sucks. We didn't even end up celebrating yesterday because A. I fell asleep, and B. neither of us planned a damn thing! Oops. : O ) It's okay, we're doing a redux on the weekend.Marty J. Lindi and I celebrate our first date anniversary, our wedding anniversary... and pretty much every one-month increment of our wedding date, even if it's just in a small way. Like buying cookies. Or flowers. But usually the cookies win.

-Helen @ Bettencourt ChaseAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8902153394142261211.post-35248060667120683542011-07-18T06:19:38.512-05:002011-07-18T06:19:38.512-05:00So YOU got the only guy who calls the next day!
